Who we are

Squad Contábil is an accounting firm. This Policy informs and notifies all data subjects how Squad Contábil  processes personal data, in accordance with the General Personal Data Protection Law – LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018).

Basics: What information do I need to know?

To make your reading easier, we present some important concepts provided for in the General Personal Data Protection Law, the “LGPD”:

  • holder : natural person to whom the personal data that are subject to processing refer;

  • controller : a natural or legal person, under public or private law, responsible for decisions regarding the processing of personal data;

  • operator : a natural or legal person, under public or private law, who processes personal data on behalf of the controller;

  • person in charge : person appointed by the controller and operator to act as a communication channel between the controller, data subjects and the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD);

  • processing agents : the controller and the operator;

  • processing : any operation carried out with personal data, such as those relating to collection, production, reception, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, archiving, storage, elimination, evaluation or control of information, modification, communication, transfer, dissemination or extraction;

  • anonymization : use of reasonable technical means available at the time of processing, through which data loses the possibility of association, directly or indirectly, with an individual;

  • consent : free, informed and unequivocal expression by which the holder agrees to the processing of his/her personal data for a specific purpose;

  • international data transfer : transfer of personal data to a foreign country or international organization of which the country is a member; and

  • shared use of data : communication, dissemination, international transfer, interconnection of personal data or shared processing of personal databases by public bodies and entities in compliance with their legal powers, or between these and private entities, reciprocally, with specific authorization, for one or more types of processing permitted by these public entities, or between private entities.

Legal hypothesis that allows this treatment:  consent, through the authorization of cookies (art. 7, I of the LGPD).

  • Embedded media from another website: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.; and

Who do we share your data with?

In order to carry out our activities and develop our business, we work with partner companies and some suppliers. Sometimes sharing your personal data is necessary for a type of service to be performed. Whenever possible, we share your data in an anonymized manner. Here we describe situations in which we will share your data:

Suppliers and Partners

We rely on the help of suppliers who may process personal data that we collect. We always seek to carefully evaluate our suppliers and enter into contractual obligations with them regarding information security and protection of Personal Data, with the aim of minimizing risks for the Data Subject. These suppliers include, for example, companies that operate in the following areas: (i) Data hosting and activities; (ii) authentication and validation of registrations; and (iii) Data and advertising, marketing tools.

Social media

Our website allows you to access our social networks. When this happens, certain personal data may be shared with these third parties. Please note that we do not control the policies of these third parties.

Technology Companies

Some of our Suppliers are Data companies, with which we may share personal data for some important purposes, such as choosing the most effective means of contacting you to send important communications; understanding how you use our website, as a way of directing the information we send you; enriching, keeping your contact data updated and sanitized; validating a given profile to prevent fraud; preventing any type of illegal, fraudulent or suspicious activities.

Do we transfer your data to other countries?

Yes. Although our headquarters are located in Brazil and our business is aimed at people located in Brazil, and therefore Brazilian laws related to the protection of personal data apply, your personal data may be transferred to fulfill the purposes set out in this Policy, as some of our suppliers and partners may be located outside Brazil.

These transfers only involve companies that demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and maintain a level of compliance similar to or even more rigorous than that provided for in applicable Brazilian legislation.

What are the rights of the Holder of personal data?

Article 18 of the LGPD guarantees that you have a series of rights related to your personal data, including:

  • Confirmation and Access of your data ;

  • Correction of incorrect or outdated data ;

  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion of your data ;

  • Information about sharing your data ;

  • Revocation of consent ; 

  • Opposition to the processing of your data .

Whenever you exercise your rights, we may request additional information to verify your identity and prevent fraud. We do this to ensure the security and privacy of our customers. Furthermore, some requests may not be answered immediately, but we are committed to responding to all requests within a reasonable timeframe and always in compliance with applicable legislation.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We have an Information Security Policy with rules on the retention and disposal of personal data, which defines the guidelines for determining the appropriate retention period for each type of personal data collected, considering its nature, need for collection and purpose for which it will be processed.

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless there is any other reason for its retention, such as compliance with any legal, regulatory, contractual obligations, among others, as long as they are based on a legal basis. Of course, you always have the right to request the deletion of data, as per the item “What are your rights as the Holder of personal data?”.

What are our responsibilities?

Our responsibility is to take care of your personal data and use it only for the purposes described in this Policy. And to guarantee your privacy and the protection of your personal data, we adopt security and governance practices appropriate for our market, including the use of encryption techniques and other information security systems. We have a governance and privacy program, good practice and governance rules, internal policies and procedures that establish the conditions of organization, operating regime, educational actions, supervision and risk mitigation mechanisms and other aspects related to the processing of personal data.

We provide training and educational activities to our employees, and we also seek to carefully evaluate our suppliers and partners and establish contractual obligations with them regarding information security and personal data protection, with the aim of minimizing risks for you, the data subject.

We work hard to protect your privacy and personal data, but unfortunately, total security is something that does not depend solely on our actions and processes. Unauthorized access or use of your account by third parties, hardware or software failure that is not under our control, and other factors may compromise the security of your personal data. Therefore, your actions are essential to maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
